Caroline Hills is a boutique vineyard located in the Limestone Coast of South Australia with a focus on wines made from our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes.
The Caroline Hills describes the irregular, small rolling hills that characterise much of the Hundred of Caroline, adjacent to the Victorian border, south east of Mount Gambier.
Caroline Hills small-batch wines are made with minimal intervention in the winery including using open fermentation, hand plunging and pumping, gentle oak maturation and minimal filtration. All Caroline Hills wines are bottled with low sulphur.
We are dedicated to improving the land we farm for the present and for future generations. We raise and plant many trees and shrubs every year and now have wonderful microenvironments created through careful use of both native and exotic species.
Caroline Hills is owned and operated by Terry and Helen Strickland - we grow the grapes, make the wine and enjoy the yearly process of working with the climate and soil of the region. All our Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Cabernet Sauvignon wines come from our vineyard while we occasionally source fruit from other growers for Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot.
